The Miami Valley Archivists Roundtable (or MVAR), founded in 1991, is an informal group of archivists in and around Dayton, Ohio.
MVAR meetings usually take place four times a year on the third Thursday of February, May, August, and November, from 10:00 a.m. and until noon, at various archival institutions. (View schedule of upcoming meetings.)
Meetings consist of each attendee sharing news and announcements about their archival activities; reviewing a list of upcoming conferences; and a presentation and/or tour by the host institution. The meeting is followed by lunch.
MVAR is led by a volunteer who coordinates meetings and announcements. This person is known as the MVAR Chair. The Chairs of the Miami Valley Archives Roundtable have been:
